1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Protn application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Protn is a protein tracking application that allows you to:

• → Log your daily food intake and track protein consumption.
• → Set and track a personal daily protein goal.
• → Connect with friends and view each other's daily protein totals.
• → Use AI-powered food search to estimate protein content.

Protn is a general wellness tool and not a medical service. Protein estimates provided by AI are approximate. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical or dietary advice.

3. Your Account

• → You must be at least 13 years old to use Protn.
• → You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• → You may only have one account. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
• → You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• → Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• → Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• → Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• → Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.
• → Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service.
• → Upload or transmit any malicious code or content.

5. Social Features

When you add friends on Protn, your daily protein total becomes visible to them in real time. By using the friends feature, you consent to this visibility. You can remove friends at any time from the app to stop sharing your data with them.

6. AI-Generated Content

Food protein estimates in Protn are generated by AI (OpenAI GPT-4o mini) and are approximate only. We do not guarantee accuracy. Protn is not a substitute for professional nutritional advice. Use estimates as a general guide, not medical fact.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and code in Protn is owned by Protn. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. You retain ownership of the data you input (your food logs, etc.).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed per our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Protn shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or health decisions made based on protein estimates.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Protn operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of that jurisdiction.
